I believe that art education can play a crucial role in developing self-confidence and agency in students of all backgrounds. In a safe and inclusive classroom space, students feel supported to take risks, share ideas, engage in constructive dialogue, and express themselves. In addition, when students master basic skills and have an understanding of the interplay of the elements and principles, they have the foundation necessary find their voice through art.
